It’s been a minute. My partner and I apologize for the silence. This one’s short, but in keeping with how we do here, it’s real and from the heart. Thinking today about some elite verbiage from a 19th century American poet, John Greenleaf Whittier. The lines in question: “For of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: ‘It might have been!’” So, gentle reader? Here’s to old friends and new adventures. Here’s to more reflection and relentless pursuit and far less useless regret and self-recrimination. Let’s get after it while it’s still light outside, while there are still back yards worth finding out about, while we’re still blessed with life. If we could ask those no longer with us, they’d all say the same: it’s for the living.
Grateful to be vertical, I remain….
