…and the various joys that come with it

I haven’t posted on here in a minute, and I have a different post that I WAS working on, but haven’t had the time to finish. Therefore, I wanted to offer a shorter post in the meantime. This one is about freedom.
I live in America, land of the free and home of the brave. There are things that are free, although very few and far between nowadays. Samples at Costco? Free. Going on a walk? Free. Unless you’re at a gym on a treadmill, there is a monthly payment for that. Regardless, freedom is a good thing.
However, do you, dear reader, know where ultimate freedom comes from? I can tell you. Ultimate, true freedom comes from Jesus Christ. In Him, we are all free. No longer bounded by sin, or fear, or regret. Instead, we are free to have joy through Him. We are free to fail because we know that Christ died for us. We are free to worship and pursue the plan that He has laid out for us. THAT is freedom.
Do not be deterred from living your best life because of fear. Don’t let regret consume you. Don’t let your light die out. True freedom, and true, unadulterated joy is a prayer away.
2 Corinthians 3:17
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Galatians 5:13
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”
Galatians 5:1
“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
Let Him walk by your side, and you will feel freedom that you have never known before. That isn’t a “take” or a “guess”, that’s real. I know it, and everyone else that has a personal relationship with Christ knows it. Find the ultimate freedom in Christ alone.
